DAM’s position on the upcoming Ethereum (ETH) Constantinople hard fork

Dear valued customers,

We would like to update you all on the upcoming Ethereum (ETH) Constantinople hard fork on the 16th of January and DAM”s position.

We will be supporting the Ethereum (ETH) Constantinople hard fork and as a result the chain with the largest consensus. We will handle all the technical requirements for the hard fork. However, we do not anticipate that this would be a contentious fork.

Simply put, this is a non-contentious fork. Therefore others in the Ethereum (ETH) ecosystem should be in agreement and this is simply an upgrade. If it were a contentious fork, like the Bitcoin Cash ABC vs SV hashing war (fork), then we would have the scenario where we will have a new coin and ERC20s included.

The consensus at present is that there will not be a contentious fork. Should the fork be more contentious than anticipated the Company would need to take a view and further information will be provided as relevant.

For further information on the risks and in particular risks relating to hard forks, please see our Risk Statement for further information and the terms and conditions provided.

Thank you for your continued support and we assure to provide the best service where possible.

Regards,

DAM Team
